Brunello Cucinelli's Nanjing Deji Plaza Hosts Autumn/Winter Cashmere Exhibition

From September 22nd to 28th, Brunello Cucinelli will hold a 7-day fall/winter cashmere exhibition in the Atrium of Nanjing Deji Plaza.

- Precious cashmere, meticulous craftsmanship -

Every year, the founder Brunello Cucinelli goes with the Cariaggi textile mill to Mongolia and China to inspect the highest quality cashmere. The shepherd will comb through the fluff on the goats in a gentle manner. Each goat can only comb out 250 grams of fluff per year, which is extremely precious. These cashmeres are then transported to a craft workshop in Soromeo, Italy, where they are processed by the hands of master craftsmen. They are cumbersomely sorted and rinsed to remove the impurities of the plants and thus separate them according to their weight. As the needles are dropped, the finer wool will eventually be spun and woven into a rare luxury dress.

Brunello Cucinelli's autumn/winter 2016 women's collection is inspired by the digital age: walking between neutral and neo-romantic, classic British style and exquisite grotesque.
