The French home textile market is sluggish

French textile newspaper reported on the 30th that due to the impact of price cuts this summer, the French home textile sales market has maintained a good period of time. However, according to a survey conducted by the newspaper on shopping malls, the consumer market for home textiles has been declining since September. It continued to decline in October, and revenue dropped by an average of 2% year-on-year.

The report said that people in the industry believe that the weak demand for the French home textile market stems from changes in consumer attitudes toward the market, from wait and see to a decisive and long-term wait. In order to save money, consumers have become accustomed to buying and picking household cloth products and decorating textiles during the promotion and price reduction period. However, due to the drop in temperature, there are exceptions to the sales of some products, such as feather dusters, screens and curtains, and furniture fabrics.
