Prince Charles intervenes against Burberry's move of production plant to China

According to the British "Sunday Times" report, British Prince Charles objected to the plan of Burberry, the top fashion brand, to prepare to move production plants to China.

Due to the lower labor cost in China, Burberry plans to close the Welsh factory and transfer its production of “British Classic” products to the Chinese market, which will cause about 300 British workers to lose their jobs. Andrews said that in his letter, Grafad asked the CEO of Burberry to "seek alternatives for the closure of the Welsh factory." Andrews said: "Burberry defines himself as a 'brand of British luxury' on the company's website. If Burberry wants to be considered a British brand, it will need to maintain production in the UK." Burberry from Rhonda Company employees also staged demonstrations in front of the company’s two flagship stores at the weekend.
